My name is John and I am 24 years old, I have been HIV+ for five years and
have had full blown AIDS for a year and a half.. On May 16th of this year I
was told by my doctor that I had less then a year to live. I aim to prove him
wrong. However I only receive $486 a month from Social Security Disability,
and $19 in Food Stamps, per month. Our government expects me to be able to
survive on that. I also currently do not qualify for Medicaid or Medicare this
causes me to be unable to afford medications and treatments that I need to
prolong my life. My family is currently on the verge of filing for bankrupcy due
to the fact that they are under strain from helping to support me. I also aim
to see the world before I die, and before I am unable to enjoy it, which
could be soon. However, with almost $200,000 and climbing in bills this is
difficult. So I am asking for your help, I have read about people who paid for
college educations and things this way so im trying it. People can donate as
little as $1 or any amount they want, they can give it in several ways Mail a
check/cheque or Money order or use one of several electronic payment methods. I
also am not just accepting cash if you wish to send a gift card for
Wal-Mart, Target, Food Lion or Sears where I can purchase groceries, clothes, or
medications, that is good as well or if you just want to send a word of
encouragement, in the form of a card or e-mail, I appreciate it, for those who
cannot
afford to send anything I ask that you pray for me, that is all. Also, please
tell others of this site so they may have the chance to help. Thank you and
