Noi sottoscritti, siamo lieti dell'opportunità nel segnalare il nostro appoggio al signor Valery Novoselsky, editore di Roma Virtual Network. Il signor Novoselsky ha condotto questo network su basi volontaristiche, sin dalla sua fondazione nel luglio 1999. Da allora, il network si è sviluppato come una delle fonti di informazione più longeve ed affidabili delle/sulle comunità Rom europee (ed internazionali).Questo network mette in contatto OnG e personalità di rilievo tra i Rom, come pure svariate organizzazioni governative in Europa.

Sinora, l'impegno fattivo del signor Novoselsky nel network è stato su base volontaristica, mostrando un altissimo coinvolgimento nella causa rom. L'attività viene portata avanti di sera, durante i fine settimana e le festività pubbliche, essendo lui attualmente occupato presso un'impresa industriale. Durante questi anni, il signor Novoselsky ha dedicato molte delle proprie risorse nel mantenimento di questo network.

Roma Virtual Network ha giocato e continua a giocare, un ruolo importante nel movimento Romani europeo ed internazionale. Si è dimostrato più duraturo e credibile di molti altri progetti similari, che coinvolgono numerosi addetti e impegnano budget generosi. Roma Virtual Network potenzialmente può giocare un ruolo ancora maggiore nelle tematiche interne ed esterne delle comunità rom europee ed internazionali, e può coadiuvarle nell'integrazione e lo sviluppo nella società maggioritaria.

Il signor Novoselsky attualmente sta ricercando assistenza finanziaria così da poter dedicare totalmente il suo tempo al lavoro per Roma Virtual Network. Dato il suo inequivocabile impegno sinora profuso, il successo raggiunto e mantenuto del network e le modeste necessità finanziarie, vi sottopongo caldamente la sua richiesta sua, i merito ad ogni supporto che la vostra organizzazione saprà provvedere.

We, undersigned, are pleased to have the opportunity to sign this letter of support for

Mr Valery Novoselsky, Editor of the Roma Virtual Network. Mr Novoselsky has been

running this network on a voluntary basis since its establishment in July 1999. Since then,

the network has developed as one of the longest-term and most trusted sources of

information in the European (and international) Roma communities. The network

reaches all of the well-known Roma and Roma-related NGOs and even governmental

organisations in Europe.

 

Until now, Mr Novoselsky has worked as the editor of this network on a voluntary basis,
showing an extremely high level of commitment to the Roma cause. His work is carried
out during evenings, weekends and public holidays, because during the day he is currently
employed in an industrial enterprise. Over the years Mr Novoselsky has dedicated an
enormous amount of his own resources to maintaining this network.

 

The Roma Virtual Network has played, and continues to play, an important role in the
international and European Romani movement. It has proved more resilient and reliable
than many similar projects involving larger staff numbers and generous budgets. The
Roma Virtual Network has the potential to play an even greater role in the internal and
external affairs of the European and international Romani communities, and can aid with
their integration and progress in mainstream society.

 

Mr Novoselsky is currently seeking financial assistance from a number of sources to
allow him to dedicate all of his time to his work for the Roma Virtual Network. Given

his clear commitment to this work, the established success of the network, and his

modest financial needs, I would strongly recommend him as a recipient of any support

your organisation is willing to provide.
