P.S.: I suppose I should look in the various places mentioned in your nice
article.
Ciao Tutti,
I was born Luzia M.Faissin in Vila Velha, Espirito Santo,Brasil,
where lots of Tiroleans,Swiss, and other European groups emmigrated to
as early as 1853, as all of you may well know.I got all these info
from the very nice genealogists and gen-volunteers on line.
Anyhow, lately I am told to get into the Valdesi group. So,here I am.
I am VERY PROUD(after reading the text below)that my remote ancestors were
Valdesi,but right now,
I just need to know the origin of FAISSIN name and where exactly my
greatgrandfather was born. His name in my birth certificate states
Antonio Faissin. I assume the name could be Antony/Antonie...
For now, I would be JUBILANT, to know more about my closest relative
in my birth certificate. I did not have the luck to be raised by my
biological parents, therefore, I missed 'the link'. I was adopted at
five from the state that I was born, and taken to Rio and I was never
told I had a birth name. Now,having the time and the NET resources, I
look into my 'buried' identity.
I thank you all in advance for 'shedding a light' into my NOT TOO distant
past;only 200 years ago. Thank you. Luzia/Lucy
