Joint Commission International Center for Patient Safety
New Web Site Offers Patient Safety Resources

The newly formed Joint Commission International Center for Patient Safety,
which is jointly sponsored by the JCAHO and the JCR, has launched a Web site
that focuses on patient safety issues. Designed to serve as a centralized
repository of resources and information related to all aspects of patient
safety, the content is aimed at patients, employers, as well as health
professionals. The Center advocates for safety in health care through
prompting the adoption of solutions that are based on sound scientific
research, expert professional consensus opinion, and principles of
multi-disciplinary education.
