THQ reveals UFO survey results

THQ Inc., publisher of tomorrow's new game release Destroy All Humans,
has announced the results of an out-of-this-world survey, dramatically
revealing that 73 percent of respondents believe in the existence of
extra terrestrial life and almost half believe they have already visited
Earth.
The survey went on to reveal that a staggering 39 percent of respondents
know someone who claims to have seen a UFO or alien and 14 percent
actually know someone who claims to have been abducted by aliens.
More worryingly, nearly 80 percent of over 24 year olds think the
British government is actively covering up the existence of aliens and
18 percent believe that aliens are already masquerading as celebrities
and politicians.
The survey, hosted online, was conducted ahead of the release of Destroy
All Humans!, available for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, offering players
the chance to invade Earth from the perspective of the aliens.
Featuring popular B-movie film references, sci-fi inspiration and
extracts from Plan 9 From Outer Space, Destroy All Humans! uses
destructive weapons and mental powers - as well as mental weapons and
destructive powers - to take on the most feared enemy in the galaxy,
mankind, and turn the tables on the classic alien vs. human storyline.
Players assume the role of the wise cracking, big-headed and
grey-skinned Cryptosporidian 137, an alien warrior sent to Earth and
tasked with clearing the way for the full might of the Furon invasion
force. Crypto's full mission is to infiltrate humanity, control them,
harvest their brain stems and eventually exterminate them for all
eternity.
Whilst Destroy All Humans! offers gamers the chance to wipe out the
human race, reassuringly, the survey revealed that 55 percent of
respondents believed that aliens would actually be friendly.
