shoot for the next video for 'SOMEDAY'...the boys are well-rested, and nick
is tanning by the pool in a rare moment off, as i type...

-THE STROKES are headlining READING FESTIVAL and LEEDS FESTIVAL this year in
the U.K., on Aug. 23 and 24. (also, Glasgow's GIG ON THE GREEN)
*NO OTHER FESTIVAL DATES for the UK or EUROPE are planned*

-'IS THIS IT' is now certified GOLD RECORD in New Zealand!
thanks to our loyal NEW ZEALNAD fan base for making this happen!

-THE STROKES will be on the cover of england's THE FACE maagazine for their
JULY issue....this will be a huge in-depth feature with all the band members
interviewed.

-the next single is 'SOMEDAY' for the WHOLE WORLD. there are tentative plans
to have a commercial single released in most european countries, probably
japan and australia as well and the U.S. (b-sides TBA)

-a tour of the U.S./CANADA is being planned for Oct. 1st through Dec. 1st
2002 right now!

-we are doing 5 dates opening for WEEZER on their 'enlightenment tour' this
july....exact dates are online at www.thestrokes.com in the TOUR section

-there will be a 3 minute 'featurette' on THE STROKES and the new video on
'MTV NEWS' and 'MTV2 NEWS' in the U.S. sometime NEXT week (starting june 17)
no exact date on when that runs yet.
