I am posting in "Romae Eterna Photos" section a snapshot of a
collection of digital images of the NEW VISITOR CENTER OF THE
IMPERIAL FORA.
The photos are arranged in chronological sequence, etc:
1. The First Visitor Center of the Roman Forum (near the Basilica
Julia) c. 1906.
2. The Temporary Visitor Center of the Imperial Fora constructed for
the Jubilee Celebration in Rome (1998-200). Formerly located on the
corner of the Via dei Fori Imperiali and the Via Cavour.
3. The New Visitor Center of the Imperial Fora (2002 to Present). The
now permanent site located directly across from the Basilica of
Maxentius.
The digital image collection in this set once available online - the
new Visitor Center of the Imperial Fora also included numerous images
of the educational panels located inside the center i.e. the Forma
Urbis Romae and the corresponding contemporary archaeological sites
in Rome, and images of the new model of the Imperial Fora, etc.
Under each photograph, the caption included supplementary information
as well as URL links to WebPages that provided additional
information, etc.
For instance, the image of the first visitor of the Roman Forum c.
1906. Beneath the image the caption has a bibligraphical lists and
URL links to the images of the Prof. Marcellini'a model of Rome, c.
1906 for example:
