In 1946 three cousins that worked for the Italian railways decided to produce hand made model trains. The brand name was Conti but on the actual trains you can only find the name used for the patent Co.Mo.Ge. These model trains are very toy like and were produced in order to last, cast aluminium body, iron or brass shaft and chassis, several coats of thick paint made Conti trains indestructible!The production lasted from 1946 until 1965 and went through several different phases. Very few examples were exported making Conti trains known virtually only in Italy. I created this group back in 2003 and it’s been idle for some time. I intend to put it back in action and collect more information and new members. Ultimately the intention is to create a real web site. The main language is obviously Italian but I shall endeavour to translate messages into English and French upon request. Un anno dopo nel 1947 associati alla ditta Giuseppe Conti C. attiva nella produzione di giocattoli in legno e carta pesta sin dal 1892 i tre cugini Parretti cominciarono la grande avventura del trenino Conti, che duro’ circa 18/19 anni dopo svariate transizioni, fallimenti e riprese.Questo gruppo ha con scopo di mettere assieme gli appassionati della Conti e facilitare lo scambio d’informazioni, di materiale e fotografico e logicamente di trenini.A presto Mark Scott
